Following Up The Todd

If you haven’t heard it by now, Orson Swindle from Everyday Should Be Saturday has started up a rivalry based fund raiser for a few different charities.

The rules are simple:

1) Make a donation online to the American Red Cross, CARE, or the International Rescue Committee.

2) Email the donation confirmation to kevin@fanblogs.com and state your team affiliation by 8pm EDT on Wednesday, May 14th.

3) Results will be displayed at Every Day Should Be Saturday and Fanblogs throughout the week, with the final results shown by Thursday, May 15th.

4) The winning school will have its colors displayed at EDSBS and logo/mascot shown on every page at Fanblogs.

Speaking of “The Todd” from Roll Bama Roll, he too wants you to donate if you can. Please do it, because well…. I just want reasons to post this picture:

The Todd will totally high five a donation

I have already donated $30 (big college grad money from the new college grad!), which means I have donated about 23% of the $130 given by Alabama fans as of the evening of May 12th. We’re tied with Auburn, and Michigan is ahead with a big time $1,000 (did one older guy donate this all at once or something?). If you can afford it, give it a try as it is a worthy cause to help those affected by natural disasters in Oklahoma, Georgia, and Burma.

Want another reason to donate? Well, I know my donation to the International Rescue Committee is tax deductible come April 15, 2009 (Itemized Deductions! WHAT WHAT!!!…….. depending on your A.G.I.), so I’ll assume that the Red Cross and CARE are as well. Donate if you can!

BTW, if Todd doesn’t like “The Todd” references, I’ll avoid them in the future.
